Frequently Asked Questions

What type of commissions do you offer?

I specialise in bespoke wedding bouquet paintings, created in watercolour as lasting keepsakes of your wedding day. Each piece is hand-painted from your photographs and created to order.

What sizes are available?

Bouquet commissions are available in:

  • A3
  • A4
  • A5

If you’re unsure which size would suit your bouquet or space best, I’m happy to advise.

What styles can I choose from?

You may choose between two styles:

  • Detailed — carefully observed with refined detail
  • Loose — softer, more expressive, and fluid

Both are painted with the same care and archival materials; the difference lies in the level of detail and overall feel.

How long does a commission take?

Typical turnaround times are:

  • Loose style: approximately 1 week
  • Detailed style: approximately 2 weeks

Timeframes begin once reference photographs are received and may vary slightly during peak wedding season.

If you need a painting by a specific date, please enquire before booking to confirm availability.

When should I send my bouquet photos?

For wedding bouquet commissions, photographs are usually sent after the wedding day. This allows you to enjoy your celebration without any pressure beforehand.

For anniversay gifts, please email photos after your purchase of the product online.

Clear, high-resolution images taken in natural light are ideal. Multiple angles are always helpful.

Will I see the painting before it’s finished?

For detailed style commissions only, you’ll receive a pencil composition draft to review before painting begins. This ensures the layout feels right before colour is added.

Progress images are not routinely shared once painting has begun, as watercolour is a fluid medium and best viewed as a finished piece.

Can I request changes?

For detailed style commissions only, one round of minor revisions is included at the pencil draft stage.

Once the draft is approved, changes cannot be made, as watercolour cannot be easily altered. In rare cases where additional revisions are possible, these are charged at £30 per hour.

What materials do you use?

All paintings are created using:

  • 300gsm acid-free, cold-pressed 100% cotton paper stock
  • Professional-grade watercolour, ink and gouache
  • Each piece is signed discreetly in watercolour

Archival materials are used to ensure longevity.

Is framing included?

Framing is not included unless stated otherwise. This allows you to choose a frame that best suits your interior and personal style.

How will my painting be shipped?

Your painting will be:

  • Wrapped in acid-free tissue paper
  • Attached with Certificate of Authenticity
  • Packaged in a rigid protective envelope with hard backing
  • Sent using a tracked postal service

Do you accept returns?

As each commission is bespoke and created to order, returns are not accepted. If you have any concerns before booking, I encourage you to get in touch — I’m always happy to advise.

How do I book a commission?

You can simply book a commission by purchasing a preferred style and size.

Remember to email commission photos after purchase referencing your full name.

If you’re unsure whether a commission is right for you, or which option to choose, you’re very welcome to get in touch — I’m always happy to guide you.
